Jon Affonso - Winemaker
Born and Raised in Sacaramento, California, Jon was acquainted with wine after a year in France as an exchange student. Jon began his winemaking career as an enologist at Trinchero Family Estates in Napa Valley. He has also been an assistant winemaker at Dry Creek Vineyards in Sonoma County, an Enologist at Renwood Winey in Sierra Foothills, a Winemaker at Rail Bridge Cellars in Sacramento, and studied at Chateau Angelus in Bordeaux, France learning traditional winemaking techniques.
Jon holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geology from Sacramento State, completed his Masters program in Enology from Fresno State, and holds a Wine Business Degree from Sonoma State. Jon is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoys science, and is a lover of wine, food, language, and his two children.
